Analytica-Anacon 2006 sets new records

From November 16 - 18, everything in Bangalore will revolve around analysis, laboratory technology and biotechnology. According to Messe München, some 130 exhibitors from 11 countries will present analysis equipment and solutions for laboratories in the research and industrial sectors at Analytica-Anacon 2006. This year's Analytica-Anacon is being held for the third time in India and for the first time at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore, a premiere it will mark with record-breaking statistics: The number of exhibitors has nearly doubled compared to Analytica-Anacon 2004, which was still held at the Nehru Center in Mumbai, and the amount of exhibition space is up by 75 percent, increasing from 2,000 to 3,500 square meters.

International market leaders will present the latest solutions at the fair. Companies like Agilent, Büchi, Eppendorf, Merck, Netzsch, Miele, Millipore, Perkin Elmer, Roche, Sarstedt, Shimadzu, Thermo, Varian and Waters present their latest generations of devices for common analysis methods and techniques and present their portfolios of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. More than half of the exhibitors are from abroad - companies from Australia, China, Germany, France, India, Great Britain, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan and the US will be represented at the fair. The joint exhibits from Germany and Spain are the largest foreign exhibits.

Application solutions for the chemical, pharmaceutical and medical sectors are important fields for Analytica-Anacon. However, analysis techniques are also indispensable in other sectors such as environmental protection, food safety, material and quality testing and consumer protection. In additional to instrumental analysis, laboratory technology and biotechnology in the strictest sense, many companies at Analytica-Anacon 2006 present solutions developed specifically for these application sectors in which diagnostics also plays an important role.

Besides giving visitors a look at the industry's latest solutions and new developments, Analytica-Anacon 2006 shall help them to establish business contacts and actively promote dialog between the scientific and commercial sectors. This year's fair will also feature a three-day Analytica-Anacon Conference with a first-rate program of lectures and presentations being organized by the Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA).
