Pothen Paul, India Country Manager, Aker Solutions, wins Chemtech Award 2009
Pothen Paul, India Country Manager, Aker Solutions, has been awarded "Business Leader of the Year - Engineering Services" by the Chemtech Foundation, India's process industry body. This award is in recognition of Paul's contribution to the engineering and construction (E&C) sector in India.
Pothen Paul has over 40 years of experience in organization management, operations management, construction management and plant design. During his terms as Operations Manager, Director Operations and Managing Director of Aker Solutions company Aker Powergas Pvt Ltd, he oversaw the development of a project management culture and organisational mind set, focused upon customer needs, high standards of quality and fast tracking of project execution. The resulting differentiation has made Aker Solutions' India operations the most sought after E&C service provider in India today. Currently, he is also the Executive Chairman of Aker Powergas Pvt Ltd, and the President of Aker Solutions' global process business.
Pothen Paul has been the Chairman of Process Plant and Machinery Association of India, the national industry body of the E&C and Capital Goods sectors, and a member of the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the largest industry body in India
