Andor Technology plc announces a strengthening of its position in the Chinese market with the first installations of its ‘Revolution’ confocal microscopy systems at universities in Hefei and Wuhan.
Building on ten years of experience selling into China through its distribution channels, Andor launched its direct presence in 2006 by opening an office in Beijing. Since then the company has established itself as a trusted vendor with a growing customer list made up of the country’s leading research institutes and universities. Andor has consolidated its position as a supplier of choice with sales in the country increasing by 20% for the financial year ending 30 September 2008.
Andor Asia-Pacific Manager, Philip Moore, said "Our capacity to innovate and adapt our products and systems to local demand has been a major factor for our Chinese customers. Since we expanded our business here and developed a local partnership with Titan Electro-Optics Co. Ltd, we’ve seen our sales more than treble. China is a very important market for our expansion in Asia and we're delighted that our foresight has paid dividends and established Revolution as the reference for innovative confocal systems."
