Plastic Diaphragm Pressure Transmitters for Precise Pressure Monitoring in Process Engineering

RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik GmbH + Co.

Plastic diaphragm pressure transmitters ensure safe and precise pressure monitoring in process engineering systems. These specialized components prevent the penetration of measuring fluids into pressure measurement systems and protect sensitive instruments from corrosive processes.

Material Diversity for Different Requirements

The available materials cover a broad spectrum of chemical resistances:

PVC-U (Polyvinyl chloride, rigid) shows excellent resistance to lubricants, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, mineral acids as well as alkaline solutions. The material convinces with high dimensional stability and mechanical strength at working temperatures up to +60°C.

PP (Polypropylene) offers resistance against oils, gasoline, acids and alkalis as well as excellent dielectric properties. The high mechanical strength and stiffness enable applications up to +80°C. PP variants are available in KTW-, FDA- and BfR-compliant versions.

PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) as a fluoroplastic possesses the broadest resistance spectrum against halogenated solvents, phenols, ammonia solutions and mineral acids. The high thermal stability allows operating temperatures up to +120°C with simultaneous hydrolysis and radiation resistance.

Technical Specifications

All diaphragm pressure transmitters operate with a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar at +20°C. The generous diaphragm surfaces guarantee optimal measurement accuracy. Standard nominal diameters of 25 mm and 32 mm are manufactured.

The connections vary depending on the material: PVC-U devices feature internal threads G 1/4" and solvent cement sockets, while PP and PVDF versions are equipped with G 1/4" or G 1/2" internal threads and welding sockets.
