RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik
Chemical-resistant PTFE O-rings for pharmaceutical and food technology up to 260°C
RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik GmbH + Co.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) O-rings offer exceptional chemical resistance and are ideally suited for demanding applications in pharmaceutical and food technology. These FDA and BfR-compliant sealing rings resist virtually all aggressive media and ensure reliable sealing under extreme conditions.
Outstanding chemical resistance:
PTFE O-rings show excellent resistance to acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, alkalis such as potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide, as well as aggressive media such as alkalines and ozone. Even polar organic solutions such as acetic acid and oxidizing media such as peracetic acid cannot harm the sealing rings.
Extreme temperature resistance:
The operating temperature range from -200°C to +260°C enables applications from cryogenic processes to high-temperature procedures. The Shore hardness D 56° according to DIN 53505 ensures optimal sealing effect under various pressure conditions.
Technical properties:
• White coloring for visual control
• Specific volume resistivity: 18 Ohm x cm (IEC 60093)
• FDA and BfR compliance for food and pharmaceutical contact
• Excellent aging resistance
Product range includes:
• PTFE O-rings
The PTFE O-rings are particularly suitable for pumps, valves, flange connections and reactors in the chemical industry, pharmaceutical production and food processing, where highest purity and resistance are required.
PTFE O-rings and other products, such as FEP-encapsulated O-rings, FFKM O-rings and EPDM O-rings, are available directly in the online shop of RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik. The range of RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik offers over 80,000 different products, which are used among others in mechanical engineering, chemical technology, process engineering as well as medical technology.
