Elastomer Plugs for High-Temperature and Chemical Applications in Laboratory and Industry

RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik GmbH + Co.

Elastomer plugs provide reliable sealing solutions for demanding industrial and laboratory-specific applications. These sealing elements made from various elastomer materials ensure optimal sealing performance under extreme temperatures and aggressive media.

Material diversity for specific requirements

Silicone plugs are suitable for high-temperature applications from -76°C to +280°C (short-term +300°C) and offer a Shore hardness A of 50° to 70°. Platinum-cured variants meet FDA and BfR compliance for pharmaceutical and food technology. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber) plugs show excellent chemical resistance to diluted acids, alkalis and polar solvents at temperatures from -35°C to +120°C.

NBR (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber) plugs prove themselves in petrochemicals and automotive industry through their resistance to mineral oils, fuels and greases at operating temperatures from -20°C to +100°C. NR (Natural Rubber) plugs offer exceptional flexibility and physiological safety for temperatures from -40°C to +60°C.
