Drum pumps form the basic equipment for professional media transfer in laboratory, industrial and chemical technology. These specialized container pumps enable safe and efficient transfer of low-viscosity to medium-viscosity liquids from drums and other containers with delivery heads up to 14 m WC.

Material diversity for different applications

The available materials ensure optimal chemical resistance: Polypropylene (PP) shows excellent resistance to lubricants, aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols and organic acids. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) offers exceptional chemical resistance at high temperatures. Stainless steel 1.4571 is suitable for aggressive media such as acetic acid, nitric acid and various hydrocarbons.

Technical performance characteristics

Modern drum pumps achieve flow rates up to 200 l/min at a maximum media temperature of +100°C. The electric versions feature overcurrent protection switches and a power consumption of 825 watts. Canister pumps handle viscosities up to 1400 cP and deliver 200 ml per stroke with adjustable dip tubes for various container openings.

Operating temperatures vary depending on material: LDPE up to +65°C, PP up to +50°C and stainless steel up to +90°C. Lift pumps with immersion depths of 700-1000 mm are suitable for emptying laboratory carboys and small tanks up to 100 liters.
