Oxea Announces Price Increases and Sales Control

On August 10, Oxea announced a set of price increases effective September 1, 2009. Unfortunately, the raw material pricing situation faced by Oxea’s solvents business has continued to increase at an unexpectedly rapid pace. As a result Oxea must adjust the previously announced price increase and replace it with the following, effective September 1, 2009:

i/n Butanol: US$/lb 0.09 (USA, Canada, Mexico); US$/mt 198 (South and Central America); US$/mt 198 (Asia, Africa, Middle East )

i/n Butyl Acetate: US$/lb 0.08 (USA, Canada, Mexico); US$/mt 176 (South and Central America); US$/mt 176 (Asia, Africa, Middle East )

n Propanol: US$/lb 0.08 (USA, Canada, Mexico); US$/mt 176 (South and Central America); US$/mt 176 (Asia, Africa, Middle East )

n Propyl Acetate: US$/lb 0.08 (USA, Canada, Mexico); US$/mt 176 (South and Central America); US$/mt 176 (Asia, Africa, Middle East ) The previously announced 100 percent sales control will continue.
