ECHA encourages lead registrants to make themselves known in order to benefit from a special service
ECHA is offering a special service for Lead Registrants, including a Lead Registrant workshop specifically to assist Lead Registrants in their SIEF activities. However, to benefit from the workshop and the special service, Lead Registrants have to identify themselves and to register through the ECHA website. Lead Registrants that do not notify ECHA about their nomination cannot be invited to this workshop and cannot benefit from the special service.
Notifying ECHA of the fact that a SIEF has agreed on a Lead Registrant is purely voluntary. From ECHA’s point of view, such a notification does not have legal implications beyond those already stemming from the REACH Regulation. Contact details in the notifications are used for communication between ECHA and Lead Registrants only. Any information about the existence of a Lead Registrant for a specific substance is made accessible via ECHA’s webpage in an anonymous way.
