Nouryon expands global alkoxylation network with addition of plant in Singapore

Nouryon announced that it has expanded its Alkoxylation footprint in Southeast Asia through an asset purchase on Jurong Island, Singapore. The acquired plant will enhance Nouryon’s ability to serve growing regional customer demand in key end-markets including Agriculture and Food, Home and Personal Care, Natural Resources and Paints and Coatings.

“This acquisition of a specialty surfactant alkoxylation plant in Singapore will enhance our ability to serve fast-growing end-markets in Asia Pacific and adds to our existing alkoxylation network of manufacturing facilities in China, Sweden and the United States,” said Larry Ryan, Nouryon Executive Vice President and President, Performance Formulations and the Americas. “We will continue to look at strategic opportunities to expand our manufacturing footprint and product offering to serve customers and support company growth.”
The new site adds to Nouryon’s manufacturing operations in Southeast Asia, supports the company’s Emerging Markets growth strategy and is backed by its leadership and business team based in Singapore.
