Effective Quarter 1 2013, or as contracts allow, AkzoNobel Functional Chemicals increases by 10% the prices for several lines of organic peroxides, azo initiators, as well as cobalt and amine accelerators. Products affected - as neat or formulated on a wide range of solvents or carriers - will be:
- Perkadox 14, Perkadox 16, Perkadox BC, Perkadox AIBN, Perkadox AMBN
- Trigonox 29, Trigonox 17, Trigonox K, Trigonox T
- Laurox, Cyclonox
- Cobalt and amine accelerators
This increase - effective for all customers in Europe, the Midde-East, India and Africa - is necessary to offset the rising costs of raw materials, energy, transportation as well as EHSE and regulatory compliance.
