Sale of Perstorp Construction Chemical completed

2002-09-30 - The sale of Perstorp Construction chemicals which was signed on June 20, 2002, has been completed and Flowcrete has taken over the business as of September 30, 2002.
The divested business consists of epoxy-based seamless surfaces for various types of industrial segments, including products sold under the Peran®, such as food and pharmaceutical companies. The company has its production located in Perstorp, Sweden and sales offices in Norway, Poland, Spain and UK. Perstorp Construction Chemicals had annual sales of approximately SEK 170 million and approximately 75 employees during 2001.
Sydsvenska Kemi AB is the parent company of an international specialty chemicals and engineering materials group, comprising the now integrated chemicals operations of Perstorp and Neste Oxo. The Group had annual sales of about SEK 7 billion (pro forma) in 2001, with approximately 2,100 employees. Sydsvenska Kemi is controlled by Industri Kapital 2000-fund.
Flowcrete Group plc. is UK's leading supplier of industrial flooring products with sales of euro 25 million in 2001 and 120 employees. The new group will have combined sales of euro 45 million.
