Eastman Increases Off-List Prices for Tenite Cellulose Acetate
KINGSPORT, Tenn., March 31, 2003 - Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) today announced a global increase of US$0.07 per pound (US$0.15 per kilogram) in the off-list prices of its Tenite cellulose acetate products effective May 1, 2003. The increase is due to sustained cost pressures on raw materials and energy.
The larger volume applications where Tenite cellulose acetates are used include eyewear frames, tool handles, toothbrushes, toys, and shoelace tips.
