Cabot Corp. Announces Completion Of Carbon Black Facility Expansion In Shanghai And Formation Of Cabot (China) Ltd.

Cabot Corporation announced the completion of the expansion of Shanghai Cabot Chemical Co., Ltd.'s Carbon Black plant in Shanghai. The expansion adds 50,000 metric tons (MT) of annual capacity to the Shanghai plant, bringing total annual capacity to approximately 130,000 MT. Shanghai Cabot Chemical Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Cabot and Shanghai Coking Co., Ltd. Cabot also announced that it had formed a new holding company, Cabot (China) Limited, to manage all of its investments, businesses and resources in China.
Cabot also announced that it would build a state-of-the-art laboratory in Shanghai to support its customers located throughout the Asia Pacific region.
