INEOS Silicas to remain with INEOS

04-Nov-2005

In May 2005, it was announced that INEOS had decided to evaluate options to divest its INEOS Silicas subsidiary. A number of interested parties made firm offers, but these fell short of the value which INEOS places on the business. Consequently, in September 2005, the evaluation process was irrevocably terminated.

INEOS is a financially robust company and has invested significantly in the Silicas business during its 4 years of ownership. This investment continues, with a major new catalyst support plant currently under construction in Warrington.
