Personnel Changes on the Executive Board at Lurgi Lentjes AG
Theo Risse (49), who has chaired the Executive Board of Lurgi Lentjes AG, a subsidiary of the GEA Group, since 2003 and had previously worked for the Group for a number of years, will be stepping down by mutual consent as of June 30 this year to seek new career challenges.
Gerhard Hebel will take over as chief executive of this Düsseldorf-based company, which supplies plant and equipment for power generation and flue-gas cleaning to power stations, with effect from July 1.
Hebel, a mechanical engineer by training, is a power plant engineering expert with a proven track record, having previously worked in managerial positions at companies such as Babcock Borsig Power and ABB, and has many years of international experience.
Dr. Andreas Schleicher (46), who has sat on the Executive Board of Lurgi Lentjes AG since 2003 and has worked for the Group since 2000, will also be stepping down by mutual consent as of June 30 this year to seek new career challenges.
He will be replaced on the Executive Board as of July 1 by Wolfgang Saur (39). In his last position in the Controlling department of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft in Bochum, Saur, who holds a degree in business economics, was responsible for financial planning and reporting for the Plant Engineering segment. He has extensive experience of the plant engineering business.
