Voscherau served as Executive Chairman and Human Resources Director at BASF SE, as well as site manager for the plant in Ludwigshafen, until April, 2008. Due to the fact that he had overall responsibility for Europe, as well as North and South America, and the areas fiber products, crop protection, pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals, he has decades of experience in business. Born in Hamburg, he is President of the Employers’ Association of the Chemical Industry, as well as Vice President of the Confederation of German Employers (BDA) and is an Honorary Doctor at the University of Mannheim.

Todenhöfer had resigned from his offices, due to the fact that the acquisition of ersol Solar Energy AG by Bosch could possibly lead to conflicts of interests with SCHOTT AG, a company that is also active in the field of solar energy. Todenhöfer is personally liable partner of the Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG.
