Heat shrink tubing provides reliable protection and insulation for cables, wires and components in demanding industrial applications. These specialized insulation sleeves shrink when exposed to heat and conform precisely to the components being protected.

Material Diversity for Different Requirements

PTFE shrink tubing (Polytetrafluoroethylene) achieves operating temperatures from -65 °C to +260 °C with shrink temperatures between +350 °C and +500 °C. With shrink ratios of 3:1 and 4:1, they offer the highest chemical resistance to virtually all inorganic and organic media. The thin-walled, semi-rigid tubing guarantees maximum abrasion resistance.

FEP shrink tubing (Fluorinated ethylene propylene) operates in the temperature range from -40 °C to +205 °C with a shrink ratio of 1.3:1. The shrink temperature is between +204 °C and +216 °C. FEP shows excellent resistance to solvents, acids and UV radiation.

PVDF shrink tubing (Polyvinylidene fluoride) functions at -55 °C to +175 °C with a shrink ratio of 2:1. These semi-rigid tubes are particularly suitable for galvanic applications and offer good chemical resistance to acids and alkalis.

Polyolefin shrink tubing made from radiation cross-linked material operates between -55 °C and +135 °C. With shrink ratios of 2:1 or 3:1 and a shrink temperature of +90 °C, they offer high flexibility and are self-extinguishing according to UL 224 certification.
