New sensor generation combines detailed contour detection with high frame rates
With QICPIC/S, Sympatec presents a comprehensively enhanced system platform for dynamic image analysis. A new camera generation, optimized precision lenses and advanced image evaluation open up additional possibilities for determining particle size and particle shape.
Up to 20 megapixels enable detailed capture of particle contours. Depending on the selected resolution, frame rates of up to 950 frames per second can be achieved. The larger camera sensor extends the field of view and can therefore capture more particles per image. High frame rates additionally increase the number of particles recorded within a given measuring time. Depending on the measuring range and application, the larger field of view can extend the detectable particle size range within a single setting or help achieve a comparable particle count with smaller sample quantities.
The predefined XS, S, M and L measuring ranges allow resolution, detection range and frame rate to be matched to the respective measuring task as required. High resolutions support detailed analysis of particle contours, while high frame rates enable the rapid capture of large particle populations. The S measuring range extends dry analysis to below 1 µm.
Image evaluation has also been further enhanced. Advanced segmentation in PAQXOS enables touching and overlapping particles to be separated more effectively. This provides more realistic individual particle contours for determining size and shape parameters.
The modular system concept allows QICPIC/S to be flexibly combined with solutions for dry and wet particle systems. Powders, granules and fibres can be characterized just as effectively as suspensions and emulsions. QUIXEL adds a new wet dispersion solution to the system portfolio. Fully automated dispersion enables the analysis of suspensions and emulsions with particle sizes of up to 3,500 µm.
QICPIC/S thus combines high image resolution, flexible frame rates, extended measuring ranges and advanced image evaluation in a modularly configurable system for dynamic image analysis.
