Kraef Leads Dow Polyurethanes
The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) named Torsten Kraef as the new business group vice president of Dow Polyurethanes, a global business unit within Dow that includes the propylene oxide, Propylene Glycol, Isocyanates and polyols businesses. He was named to the position in August.
Kraef has been with Dow for almost 20 years. He has served in a variety of roles, mainly in business and commercial leadership, but also in finance and supply chain. He has lived in Europe and the United States, and had roles with global responsibilities for the last 10 years. Kraef most recently served as business group vice president of Dow Building and Construction, a business group within Dow’s Advanced Materials division, where he led three business units – Dow Building Solutions, Dow Construction Chemicals and Solar Solutions – that offer extensive lines of industry-leading insulation, weatherization products and systems, construction chemical solutions, and solar application technology.
He succeeds Guillermo Novo, who has been named business group vice president of Dow Coating Materials.
