EFCE launches 2011 student award

The European Federation of Chemical Engineering announced the launch of its 2011 student mobility award. The biennial award, which will be presented at the 8th European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE) in Berlin, Germany next year, promotes and rewards international mobility amongst European students by rewarding the best international chemical engineering students. Three prizes will be presented during the congress and each consists of a commemorative certificate, cash prize of up to € 2,000, free admission to ECCE and reimbursement of travel expenses. The award is open to all students who are citizens of an EFCE represented EU country who have studied in another country to their native one for at least one semester in their first or second cycle study programmes in chemical engineering. Andrew Furlong, Director of Policy and Communications at IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineers) commended the awards saying: “The student mobility award is an excellent opportunity to showcase the emerging chemical engineering talent in Europe. I would urge all eligible students and graduates to submit an application for this highly respected award.” Applications should include the application form, available from the EFCE website.
