Univar Inc. announced a new distribution agreement with Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. (KMS), to introduce their reverse osmosis (RO) products into Italy.
Univar will distribute KMS’ range of RO elements which are used in water treatment and reuse. RO membranes are also used to purify seawater so that it can be used as drinking water, removing salt and other substances at a molecular level.
“Our strong position in the Italian market combined with KMS’ pioneering products gives us confidence that this agreement is a perfect fit,” says Mark Hubbard, Industry Manager EMEA, Water Treatment, Univar. “Water treatment is one of our key strategic sectors and we hope that we will work together in other territories as our relationship grows.”
“At Univar we are committed to increasing the proportion of sustainable products in our portfolio,” explains Phil Hockaday, SHEQ Director EMEA, Univar. “This distribution agreement fits perfectly with this goal, providing solutions to address today’s water scarcity issues and offering environmental benefits to our consumers and the community.”
