biolitec, listed on the New Market, has signed
a major distribution contract for diode
lasers with
Schneider High
Tech GmbH, making further progress in the field of dentology. This
two-year-contract for approx. 2 Million Euro (4 Mio. DM) requires
Schneider High Tech GmbH to sell and promote the biolitec laser
Ceralas D15 in
Germany and
Greece. The continuation of the
cooperation with Schneider, which has been selling biolitec
lasers
since 1999, is a consequence of recently accelerating
sales and
the increasing acceptance of lasers for dental office applications.
The contract strengthens biolitec’s position within dentology and
supports the aggressive expansion strategy.
The wide range of potential indications for the Ceralas D15 in the
field of Paradontology, Endotontics, dental
surgery and dental
cosmetics encourages the daily use of the laser by the dentist.
biolitec just presented its semi-annual results 2000/2001 reporting
a significant sales increase up to 7.3 million Euro. Lasers were
about 34% of this turnover. Within this field Dental applications
contributed 1.3 million Euro, making the largest segment. biolitec’s
strategy focuses on medical applications for photosensitive
drugs,
diode lasers and fiberoptic laser delivery systems.
