Kendro Laboratory Products re-organizes R&D departments to form "Centres of Excellence"

Kendro Laboratory Products is re-structuring its R&D departments to provide improved, integrated services to its customers and business partners. The newly formed "Centres of Excellence will be formed at the production-plants/order_t/'>production plants in the USA and in Germany.
Parallel to this re-structuring, the European headquarters of Kendro will be expanded. Due to the strong increase in global sales, manufacturing in Hanau has met capacity limits. The European headquarters and manufacturing site will therefore move from its current location in Hanau to a brand new purpose built facility in Langenselbold, near Frankfurt.
Langenselbold will also accommodate the "Centre of Excellence" for development of incubators, safety cabinets and automated incubators and storage systems.
Kendro's second German production factory in Osterode will continue to be the "Centre of Excellence" for the development of Heraeus® centrifuges and in addition will take over the development of floor model centrifuges under the SORVALL® product brand.
Over the next eight months, assembly, distribution and warehousing operations for centrifuges, safety cabinets and incubators are to be transferred from Newtown, CT, USA to the company's advanced manufacturing facility in Asheville, NC. The re-location will run in parallel with the creation of an expanded Worldwide Headquarters in Asheville, and centralises the expertise of personnel supporting Kendro's entire product range.
This integration will ensure the development and enhancement of the quality and efficiency of Kendro´s manufacturing and distribution processes.
By consolidation of the US facilities, Kendro will ultimately be able to serve its customers, distribution channel partners and suppliers better from a single location of the business.
