DuPont Extends Global Alliance with AspenTech for Engineering Modeling and Process Information Management Solutions

Aspen Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AZPN) today announced that it has extended its global strategic alliance with DuPont for five additional years. DuPont has signed separate licensing agreements to renew its use of AspenTech's engineering modeling and process information management solutions. Since 1992, DuPont has used AspenTech solutions to design and optimize production facilities, improve productivity, and enable Six Sigma efforts.

AspenTech's engineering solutions drive Du Pont's asset productivity initiatives by providing a powerful family of tools to design and manage new and existing manufacturing processes. The solutions enable products to be brought to market more quickly, by accelerating the design and engineering process through more effective knowledge sharing and collaboration. Du Pont uses AspenTech's information management technology to take large volumes of real-time manufacturing process data, and make it available for analysis and decision-making, so that it can be applied towards improved productivity and enhanced business flexibility.
