In an effort to present a clear vision to customers in India, Ashland Inc., is changing the name of one of its joint ventures in that country. Chembond Drewtreat Limited is now Chembond Ashland Water Technologies Limited.

According to the company, Chembond Ashland Water Technologies Limited will continue to serve India's industrial water treatment market with its full line of products for cooling tower and boiler water treatment.

"The name change is significant for our business in India and better reflects the strengths Ashland brings to the table when we work with our customers," said Hal Moffat, vice president, Asia Pacific for Ashland Water Technologies. The change aligns with Ashland's previously-announced strategy to grow its water treatment business globally.
