Gulbrandsen to Increase Prices for Polyurethane Additives
Advertisement
Gulbrandsen Chemicals Inc. announced that it will increase the price of all polyurethane additive products for deliveries on or after July 1, 2008 or as contracts permit. The prices for CP-2 flame retardant will rise by 15% and all other polyurethane additives will increase by 5 -7%.
Gulbrandsen said that all products have been significantly impacted by the continuously rising raw material, energy, packaging and transportation costs associated with these polyurethane additives. An unprecedented high demand for elemental phosphorus and other key raw material used in the manufacture of flame retardants is also driving the increase in the prices for CP-2 flame retardant.
