trans-o-flex introduces its actively temperature-controlled transport system in the Benelux countries

Independent international network ensures the quality of temperature-sensitive products

06-Jan-2009 - Belgium

trans-o-flex ThermoMed GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its network for temperature-sensitive products to include the Benelux countries. From 5th January 2009 onwards, customers, mainly from the pharmaceutical industry, are offered the transport of medical products at a constant temperature of between 2 and 8°C from the pick-up to the delivery. This service also ensures that especially the quality of high-class and sensitive products, such as vaccines, remains unaffected during the entire transport. trans-o-flex is already operating similar nationwide networks in Germany and Austria.

The Benelux organisation operates in compliance with the same criteria, which are subject to a standardised quality management system run by the Kassel-based ThermoMed headquarters. This enables ThermoMed, a company of the trans-o-flex Logistics Group, to be the first company in this specific segment to offer an integrated network in five countries.

“The exchange between the Benelux countries, Germany and Austria especially in the healthcare sector is extremely strong”, says Carsten Glos, Managing Director of ThermoMed. “This is why it is important for our customers not only to be offered a nation-wide service in the individual countries but also to benefit from an efficient network of the country organisations.” To this end, trans-o-flex could build on the long-standing experience of its European express delivery network and also transfer its know-how to the special segment of active temperature control.
