Fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) tubing offers exceptional chemical resistance and thermal stability for demanding applications in laboratory, pharmaceutical and biotechnology environments. The material features an absolutely smooth inner surface that prevents deposits and meets the highest purity requirements.

Technical Properties and Performance Features

FEP tubing operates reliably in a temperature range from -170°C to +200°C and is autoclavable at 121°C. Pressure resistance reaches up to 20 bar depending on dimensions while maintaining vacuum resistance of 900 mbar. Antistatic variants exhibit a discharge resistance of less than 10⁶ Ohm and comply with FDA and BfR standards.

Application Areas and Benefits

FEP tubing is ideally suited for conveying aggressive chemicals, high-purity media and biocompatible applications. The biocompatible and food-grade properties enable use in beverage production and food industry. In laboratory analysis and biochemistry, they ensure contamination-free processes through their inert surface.

Composite tubing combines the chemical resistance of FEP with the mechanical flexibility of other plastics. This enables smallest bending radii without kinking and prevents extraction of foreign substances. Heat shrink tubing with a shrink ratio of 1.3:1 provides reliable protection for sensitive components.
