Süd-Chemie Annual General Meeting elects new Supervisory Board

At the Annual General Meeting, the shareholders of Süd-Chemie AG, Munich, Germany elected new shareholder representatives to the Supervisory Board in the course of the regular election process. They approved the candidates nominated by the Swiss specialty chemical company, Clariant AG, which has held 96% of the shares in Süd-Chemie since 21 April 2011.

The following persons were newly elected to the Supervisory Board of Süd-Chemie AG as representatives of the shareholders.

  • Dr. Hariolf Kottmann, Chief Executive Officer of the Clariant Group, Clariant International AG, Muttenz, Switzerland
  • Alfons Frenk, Managing Director of ALFONS FRENK Treuhand GmbH, Osnabrück
  • Patrick Jany, Chief Financial Officer of the Clariant Group, Clariant International AG, Muttenz, Switzerland
  • Alfred Münch, Head of Legal Services for the Clariant Group, Clariant International AG, Muttenz, Switzerland
  • Dr. Ulrich Ott, Managing Director of Clariant in Germany, Clariant Verwaltungs-gesellschaft mbH, Sulzbach
  • Dr. Ralf-Henri Schlömer, Head of Corporate Development, Clariant International AG, Muttenz, Switzerland

The remaining members of the Supervisory Board comprise the three representatives elected by the employees, namely Ms. Angela Hagl, Dr. Gerhard Mestl and Mr. Mathias Wendt.

At its constitutive meeting which followed the Annual General Meeting, the Süd-Chemie AG Supervisory Board elected Dr. Kottmann as the new Supervisory Board Chairman and Dr. Schlömer as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
