GEA receives orders worth more than 28 MEUR from the power plant industry

GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft received orders worth more than EUR 28 million for the design, manufacturing and supply of 2 Air Cooled Condensers in Mexico and China. In Mexico, GEA received the order for the Air Cooled Condenser for the project Norte II a 433 MW combined cycle gas fired power plant from the South Korean Engineering company Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd. GEA already supplied the air cooled condenser for the first phase of this power plant, Norte I. In China, GEA will supply the Air Cooled Condenser for the new 4 x 350 MW power plant that will supply the Tianshan Aluminum plant in Shihezi/Xinjiang with electricity. The order has been received from Tianshan Al, a Chinese aluminum producer, a company of the stock listed Hunan Zengshi Group.

“Resource saving technologies like Air Cooled Condensers are becoming increasingly important in new power plant projects in emerging markets in Asia and the Americas”, stated Jan Siebert, president of the segment GEA Heat Exchangers.
