BRCS acquires Chemres in Austria
The BRCS Group, the new strategic partnership between chemical materials providers Barentz and Ravago announced its first acquisition. BRCS has acquired the Austrian company Chemres, which specialises in the distribution of industrial chemicals for the Austrian market.
BRCS has acquired 100% of the shares in Chemres and will integrate the current Chemres activities fully into the BRCS operations. Hidde van der Wal, CEO of the BRCS Group:”The acquisition of Chemres is of strategic importance to BRCS, because it gives us direct access to customers in Austria. We were looking for a business partner with excellent knowledge of the Austrian market, who could help us and our principals grow in Austria and have found this partner in Chemres and its CEO Robert Ornik. With his 25 years of experience, Robert Ornik has built Chemres into a solid business. Based in Werndorf, Chemres is strategically located on the border of Austria and Slovenia, making it an ideal hub into also the former Yugoslavian countries.”
In Austria, BRCS will focus on strengthening its position in industrial chemicals and will focus, among others, on the coatings & inks product portfolio, construction and detergents & cleaners portfolio.
