Barry Howe to Leave Thermo Electron Corporation
Thermo Electron Corporation (NYSE:TMO) announced today that Barry S. Howe, vice president, and president of the Measurement and Control sector, has announced his intention to leave the company in the spring of 2004 to pursue other interests. In the meantime, he will assume the newly created position of vice president, new business development. The three divisions comprising the Measurement and Control business segment reporting to Mr. Howe will now report directly to Marijn E. Dekkers, chief executive officer.
"Barry has had an excellent 18-year career at Thermo Electron," said Mr. Dekkers. "In the past three years he has done a tremendous job of integrating the highly fragmented structure of more than 30 companies into three very focused divisions. We wish Barry the best of luck in his new endeavors."
