Ranbaxy and Mallinckrodt Baker Inc. enter into a marketing alliance in India

Ranbaxy fine chemicals Limited (RFCL), New Delhi, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, announced its strategic marketing alliance with Mallinckrodt Baker Inc (MBI), USA. RFCL will market MBI JT Baker and Mallinckrodt's range of Scientific Laboratory Products in the Indian market, thereby enabling RFCL to considerably increase its product offerings to the Scientific Community. The alliance will leverage the technological and product development competencies of MBI and the marketing and distribution muscle of RFCL. The integration of the capabilities of the two partners will create a sustainable competitive advantage to enhance business prospects for these products and maximise the commercial value.Through this alliance, RFCL will be extending high purity products and services for Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemicals, Research & Development, Electronics, Environmental and Healthcare industries. RFCL will now cater to a wide range of scientific needs for HPLC and spectroscopy solvents, Ultra trace analysis of impurities, certified reference materials, bioscience products, chromatography columns and SPE cartridges, and KFR reagents for coulometric titrations, besides offering the complete range of over 5000 products of JT Baker and Mallinckrodt brand. Commenting on the alliance, Mr. Sushil Mehta, Director, RFCL, said, "This is a significant step in RFCL,s ongoing commitment & thrust to become a 'Total Laboratory Solutions Provider' for Research and Analytical needs.
