European oxo joint venture to start operations

Celanese AG and Degussa AG, Düsseldorf, Germany, announced that they have successfully concluded the combination of their European oxo businesses. The new joint venture, which will be named European Oxo GmbH and consists of both companies' propylene-based oxo chemical activities, will be operational from October 1, 2003 and is based in Oberhausen, Germany.
