Ashland’s Drew Marine Division to Distribute Draeger Safety Inc.’s Line of Personal Air Filtration Systems

Drew Marine, a division of Ashland
Specialty Chemical Company (Dublin, Ohio), and Draeger
Safety Inc. (Pittsburgh, Pa.) have announced an agreement
naming Drew Marine distributor for Draeger’s complete line of
self-contained breathing apparatus and gas-detection/order_t/'>gas detection
equipment throughout the United States, Canada and
Mexico. Ashland Specialty Chemical Company is a wholly
owned division of Ashland Inc.
"The extensive product distribution and on-board customer
service capabilities of Ashland’s Drew Marine Division will
bring our safety equipment product offering to the marine
industry in an efficient and convenient manner," said Bob
Sterner, NAFTA sales manager, Draeger Safety Inc.
Under terms of the recent agreement, Drew Marine will now
offer its marine industry customers and marine fire and
safety inspection providers the full range of high-quality
Draeger products. Draeger manufactures world-class
self-contained breathing apparatus used for personal
protection in hazardous areas and high-quality gas detection
equipment used to identify ambient air for toxic or explosive
environments.
Draeger’s principal product lines being offered by Drew
Marine include: electronic gas detection measuring and
monitoring instruments; self-contained breathing apparatus;
disposable, half-mask and full-face mask filters; supplied air
respirators and systems; emergency escape breathing
apparatus; as well as electro-chemical and infrared sensor
technology, Draeger tubes and Draeger CMS spot
measurement gas and vapor sampling.
