Arkema announces the launch of a 4 million euro investment to improve chlorine handling and develop methane sulfonic acid (MSA) production at its Mourenx facility in France.

"We are leaders in the sulfonyl market with MSA, and we want to continue investing in order to remain competitive and maintain our position," explains Arnaud d'Aramon, Group President of Arkema's Thiochemicals Business Unit.

Arkema is also increasing by 50% its overall MSA capacity in Mourenx by taking full advantage of its competitive edge due to its full integration in sulfur, sulfur intermediates, chlorine and hydrochloric acid.
