Autotitration service delivers accurate & precise determination of halogens and sulphur
Asked about the new investment - Paul Hemming (European Sales Manager) said 'In line with our ethos of providing analytical excellence at a realistic price we carefully reviewed the techniques available for halogen and sulphur analysis'. 'While techniques such as ion chromatography offer ease of use benefits they cannot match the accuracy and precision achievable by titration methods'. He added ' titration plays a key role in sample testing in many industries, and although manual tests provide good levels of accuracy, it is labour intensive and time consuming. Typically manual titration offers no means of ensuring total consistency in analyses between different analysts, the new autotitration system will eliminate this source of error.
The new autotitration analysis service will enable the determination of sulphur or individual / mixed halogens in a single titration analysis. Equipped with the latest autotitration equipment - WAS can routinely achieve accuracies of better than +/- 0.3% absolute, according to the company.
