Butyl IIR tubing:

RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik

Gas-tight Butyl-IIR Hoses for Chemical, Laboratory and Steam Applications up to 210°C

RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik GmbH + Co.

Butyl-IIR hoses (Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber) offer exceptional barrier properties and are ideally suited for demanding applications in chemical technology, process engineering and laboratory environments. The virtually gas-tight structure ensures 10 times lower air diffusion compared to natural rubber products.

Technical Properties:
The IIR hoses are characterized by a Shore hardness of A 60° and offer a temperature range from -30°C to +100°C (short-term up to +140°C). Special steam and hot water hoses even reach temperatures from -40°C to +210°C at a maximum operating pressure of 18 bar. The electrically conductive version with steel spiral has a specific volume resistivity of <10⁹ Ω.

Chemical Resistance:
Butyl hoses show excellent resistance to acids, bases as well as animal and vegetable oils and fats. The ozone and weather-resistant properties make them reliable chemical hoses for aggressive media.

Application Areas:
As laboratory hoses, IIR hoses are particularly suitable for gas applications due to their minimal permeability. In power plant technology, turbine technology and plant construction, the steam and hot water hoses prove themselves as high-temperature pressure hoses for saturated steam and superheated vapors.
