analytica Vietnam 2015 more international than ever

This year's analytica Vietnam will have approximately 100 exhibitors from 15 countries, making it more international than ever. As part of the extensive program of related events, feature several international experts will pass on scientific background information about research and trends in all exhibition sectors. The fourth analytica Vietnam takes place at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City from April 15 –17, 2015.

Larger share of international exhibitors

analytica Vietnam is the most important industry platform for laboratory technology, analysis, biotechnology and diagnostics in Vietnam. Some 100 exhibitors from 15 countries (2013: 10 countries) will present the latest developments, solutions and products at the trade fair. Well-known companies such as BRAND, Eppendorf, Ha Phan, ITS, Merck, Saigon Instruments, Shimadzu and Tegent will be represented in Saigon. Besides national pavilions from China, Germany and France, exhibitors from Great Britain, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam have registered for the fair. The share of international exhibitors is approximately 80 percent (2013: 74 percent), which is a new record for analytica Vietnam. The event's organizers are expecting more than 3,500 visitors to attend.

Scientific expertise from a single source

Besides the exhibition itself, visitors attending the fair can expect an extensive program of related events including the analytica Vietnam conference as well as practice-oriented workshops and tutorials. Several Vietnamese and international experts will give participants an overview of global industry developments. Their presentations focus on the fair's main topics, i.e. food analysis and safety, pharmaceuticals and medical diagnostics, environmental analysis and quality optimization as well as chromatography and mass spectroscopy.

On the first day of the fair, Professor Oliver Schmitz from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Organizer and Chairman of the analytica Vietnam conference, will make a presentation titled: "Combination of the Best of Two Worlds: LCxLC and IMS-qTOF-MS". Professor Pham Hung Viet from the Vietnam National University of Science in Hanoi, also an organizer and conference Chairman, will speak about "Contamination by Perfluorinated Compounds in Municipal Wastewater from Drainage Systems in Hanoi". Professor Stephen Reichenbach from the University of Nebraska Lincoln will discuss "Rapid Quality Assurance Methods and Tools for Comprehensive Two-Dimensional Chromatography".

Another highlight in the supporting program is a tutorial titled "Calibration in Instrumental Analysis Using the Free Software R" by Professor Karl Molt from the University of Duisburg-Essen. The tutorial will examine topics such as calibration using regression analysis and essential performance criteria for calibrations. It will also include software demonstrations and related topics such as national and international standards and evaluating the efficiency of analysis methods. The tutorial addresses analysts, directors of pharma and food-analysis laboratories as well as students.
