Acquisition of DyStar by Platinum Equity completed
BASF, Bayer and Hoechst divest their holdings

The acquisition of the Frankfurt-based manufacturer of textile dyes DyStar by the international financial investor Platinum Equity, Los Angeles, California, was completed on August 5, 2004. The relevant antitrust authorities have approved the transaction. As a result, BASF, Bayer and Hoechst have completed the divestment of their holdings in DyStar.
