ChemConnect Signs New Global Partners

Agreements in South Korea, Mexico, and South Africa further extend B2B chemicals and plastics buying and selling opportunities

15-Nov-2001

San Francisco, CA (November 13, 2001) – ChemConnect Inc., today announced it has added three new companies, on three continents, to its channel partner program. Agreements with Mirae International Corporation in South Korea, QuimiNet.com headquartered in Mexico, and Professional Access in South Africa further extend global B2B opportunities for ChemConnect’s 7,000 Member companies and facilitate access to ChemConnect’s negotiation tools and connectivity services.

The channel partner program increases competitive advantages for ChemConnect Members, who use the company’s negotiation tools and services to complete transactions, with both new and long-term trading partners. The agreements provide ChemConnect Members with access to the services, localized product, supplier, and company knowledge, and industry expertise of these three companies. By the same token, buyers and sellers of chemicals and plastics in their respective regions gain new opportunities through ChemConnect to trade online in the global marketplace.

“Our newest channel partners represent the best-in-class companies in their regions and in their special areas of focus,” said John Robinson, ChemConnect CEO. “With these agreements we are able to offer our Members the best view of local conditions and unparalleled access to new buying and selling opportunities, facilitated by professionals with extensive knowledge of local customs and contacts.”
