FMC Corporation announced that it will increase, effective December 1, 2009, or as contract terms permit, off-list prices for feed grade sodium bicarbonate by $20/ton and off-list prices for S-Carb®, purified sodium sesquicarbonate by $10/ton. Pricing for all animal nutrition customers is quoted on an FOB Westvaco, Wyo., basis. All other contract terms will remain unchanged.
“This increase is necessary to offset increases in raw material and processing costs and to allow continued investment in production reliability,” stated Wendy Plocher, animal nutrition industry manager, FMC Alkali Chemicals Division.
