Movento Wins Agrow Award for Most Innovative Chemistry

14-Nov-2011 - Germany

The Bayer CropScience insecticide Movento® with its two-way systemic mode of action received the Agrow Award in the category “Most innovative Chemistry.” The Agrow Awards are a global recognition of excellence in the crop protection industry. “The recognition by the jury members shows the innovative character and originality of this new molecule. It also highlights the new opportunities the compound offers to our customers. Movento® and its two-way systemicity will definitely add value beyond the pure crop protection.” said Frank Terhorst, Head of Fruit & Vegetables and insecticides at Bayer CropScience.

The annual Agrow Award was initiated in 2008 by the Agrow organization, a provider of news, analysis and data to the global crop protection industry. The winners are selected for creative excellence in 15 crop protection categories, among them: formulations, chemistry, biotechnology, stewardship, off-patent pesticide strategies, public outreach, biopesticides, and lifetime achievement.
