BASF receives German Environmental Reporting Award
14-Apr-2005
The German Chamber of Public Accountants has honored BASF with the German Environmental Reporting Award (DURA) for its Corporate Report 2003. consumer protection Minister Renate Künast presented the first prize for the best sustainability report to the company in Berlin. In 2002, BASF already won this award for its Corporate Report 2001.
The decisive factor for the judges was BASF's groundbreaking report covering the three dimensions of sustainability - economy, the environment and social responsibility. BASF succeeded in covering all the relevant topics in these three fields without losing sight of the essential subject.
The German Chamber of Public Accountants has presented the DURA award annually since 1998. Its goal is to encourage corporate sustainability and environmental reporting, as well as publicize exemplary reports.
