Spectral Dimensions launches tool for chemical imaging

20-Jan-2006

Spectral Dimensions Inc. launched its ISys software package to become the industry standard software product for processing chemical images. For this purpose ISys contains a variety of powerful analysis and visualization tools for processing chemical images.

Chemical imaging and in particular Near Infra Red (NIR) chemical imaging is emerging as the analytical tool of choice for pharmaceutical formulation development, analysis and process monitoring. By providing simultaneous chemical and spatial information, chemical images unlock the mysteries of heterogeneous substances and provide valuable insights into product performance. The massive data sets created by chemical imaging techniques, or hypercubes, require smooth and effective data handling.

Users of ISys are able to simultaneously analyze chemical and physical attributes and use high fidelity visualization tools for compelling graphics and enhanced data interpretation. ISys is fully 21 CFR Part 11 compliant and fully validatable under current pharmaceutical regulations. ISys is suitable for both analytical and process analytical technology (PAT) use.
