ECSPP switches to The Hague

Actively participating in EPCA Chemical Cluster Think Tanks

13-Mar-2007

As from March 1st 2007, the business activities of European Chemical Site Promotion Platform (ECSPP), the association representing the interests of European chemical site management organizations, are being conducted from The Hague. As ECSPP embarks on the next phase of its development, strong professional support in the administration and financial fields will be vital to assisting ECSPP to meet its ambitious growth targets. Against this background ECSPP has recently appointed Lejeune Association Management (LAM) to manage all day-to-day business matters of the association. LAM is a company with a proven trackrecord in international association management.

As part of its ongoing policy of developing strategic links with influential bodies in the European chemical sector, ECSPP is strengthening its ties with EPCA, the European petrochemical association. Links with EPCA were initiated when ECSPP held its official public launch at the EPCA Annual Meeting in Vienna in September 2005. Closer working relations between the two organizations is expected to lead to significant advantages for both parties, thanks in part to the specialized expertise and perspective which ECSPP is able and willing to bring to the table in support of EPCA projects which are directly relevant to ECSPP members. In this connection, ECSPP is currently playing an active role in the EPCA Chemical Cluster Supply Chain Think Tank projects which are at present studying the cluster models of two leading chemical clusters in Europe - Antwerp-Rotterdam-Rhine-Ruhr(ARRR) and Tarragona - with a view to making recommendations about the best supply chain management practices for chemical clusters. As well as being represented on the Steering Group, which is overseeing these twin projects, ECSPP is a participant in both EPCA Think Tanks.
