Grace earns Environmental, Health and Safety Management System Certification
An accredited independent registrar has certified that the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System used by W. R. Grace & Co. conforms with requirements established by the American chemistry Council (ACC). This certification is part of the company's continuing commitment to environmental, health and safety (EHS) and the ACC's Responsible Care® program, a global chemical industry performance initiative that exceeds government regulations.
The management system serves as the framework for Grace's global EHS activities. It sets performance expectations to ensure continuous improvement and addresses hazards and risks, training and communication, operational controls, compliance management, community and product stewardship, and periodic internal reviews. The management system also extends to customers, suppliers and other companies that are components of the chemistry supply chain.
Grace's management system was audited in November 2005 by CoVeris, Inc., an accredited firm with expertise in environmental, health and safety management systems registration and certification. Corporate Communications
