Novasep Process SFC systems wins Bronze 2005 CPhI Innovation Award

16-Nov-2005

Novasep Process has won Bronze at 2005 CPhI Innovation awards. The conference entitled :"Latest Advances in Preparative Supercritical Fluid Chromatographic Separation Technologies" has been presented in Madrid on 1st November 2005.

Preparative SFC (Supercritical Fluid Chromatography) uses pressurized CO2 instead of organic solvents as a separation eluent. Compared with traditional preparative HPLC, it provides enhanced throughput thanks to the properties of CO2 (low viscosity, high diffusivity). It is particularly interesting for the separation of chiral compounds, and the purification of actives or intermediates from complex mixtures.

Novasep Process latest generation of preparative SFC systems (SupersepTM) combine its expertise developed in preparative and process scale HPLC for 30 years with advanced chemical engineering.
